We are a group of dog behaviorists with over 18 years of combined experience specializing in in-home training programs for dogs of all breeds, temperaments and backgrounds. Our knowledge and experience gives us the ability to read and understand each dog accurately and adjust accordingly--this is what separates the professional behaviorist from the novice trainer. For over 10 years, PRO K-9 has helped thousands of dogs and owners achieve their training goals throughout southeast Michigan.

We pride ourselves on our ability to solve any behavior problem and teach effective obedience through positive reinforcement training methods without the use of shock collars, clickers or treats. Our training philosophy demands that owners be given the knowledge to build and maintain leadership, as well as the theories and methods for understanding and correcting current behavior problems, and preventing future ones. We show families how to utilize their dog's natural instincts towards redirecting unwanted behaviors.

We begin with a free in-home evaluation to assess your dog in their natural environment, allowing us to pinpoint the source of any behavior problems. Most behavior problems occur in the home and obedience needs to be effective there in everyday life, so training you and your dog in your own environment first is essential for success. Once you have success at home, the next step is to teach your dog how to behave outside your home and work on behavioral problems specific to public settings at our Socializing Groups.
